Olaseinde Kehinde Oluwafemi is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. He works within the Functional Ceramics Research Group. His research focuses on non-perovskite functional ceramic compounds, with particular emphasis on their energy storage properties and potential applications in advanced electronic technologies. Through his doctoral work, he investigates the structure–property relationships and functional performance of these materials, aiming to contribute to the development of next-generation ceramics for energy storage and smart material systems.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics (Electronics), graduating as the best student in his cohort, and a Master of Technology in Electronics Maintenance and Instrumentation (EMI), complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). His interdisciplinary academic background bridges physics, electronics, and materials engineering, providing a strong foundation for research in functional materials and device-oriented ceramic systems.

In 2023, he was awarded the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarship for his Ph.D, one of Nigeria’s most prestigious scholarship programs, and in 2025, he doubled it with the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) Scholarship. Subsequently, the same year, he was awarded third place at the 5-Minute research competition in the 4th Multidisciplinary International Research Conference (MIREC), held at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, with his research titled: “Investigation and Development of CaTiSiO₅ for Next-Generation Technology.”

Before commencing his doctoral studies, he accumulated several years of academic and teaching experience. He served as a Teaching Assistant at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and later as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. In these roles, he taught physics and electronics-related courses, mentored students, and contributed to laboratory instruction and academic development within engineering and science programs.

Beyond academia, he is actively involved in community development. He is the founder of  Olaseinde Kehinde Foundation (OKF), an initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between indigent students and access to education in Nigeria. His contributions were recognized by the WARESA Europe Awards, where he received the “Friends of Africa” award. In October 2025, he was also awarded a grant by the American Ceramic Society (ACS) and Ceramic and Glass Foundation (CGIF) for a project titled: “The Future Pathways: Advancing Materials Science and Engineering Awareness with relation to Glass and Ceramics in South-West Nigeria.”

Through both academic and community engagement, he demonstrates a strong commitment to knowledge dissemination, mentorship, and the broader societal impact of science and technology.
