Following a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany.
My name is Burhan Ahmad, and I come from Pakistan. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, I began my academic journey in software andartificial intelligence. However, I soon realized that my greatest interest lies in applying technology to solve real-world industrial challenges.
This led me to join Fraunhofer IKTS as a Research Assistant, where I was introduced to the fascinating world of advanced ceramics. My research focuses on defect detection in ceramic materials using computer vision and image processing. Working in this interdisciplinary environment has deepened my interest in ceramics and shown me how modern technologies can support better manufacturing and quality control.
Beyond research, I enjoy connecting with people from different cultures, sharing ideas, and learning from others. Coming from Pakistan and studying and working in Germany has given me the opportunity to experience diverse perspectives and build meaningful international collaborations.
I am excited to be part of the Young Ceramists Network and look forward to learning, contributing, and connecting with young ceramic professionals from around the world.

Bringing a new manufacturing technology into medicine requires far more than producing an impressive component. In highly regulated fields, innovation must be translated into repeatable processes, documented quality, reliable materials and, ultimately, evidence of clinical value. Lithoz has spent more than a decade building this bridge for Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing (LCM).
